EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

Celebrating 19 Years of Dedication

Darlene Parker

For nearly two decades, Darlene Parker has been a cornerstone of CAMG. This year, we proudly celebrate her 19 years of service, compassion, and unwavering dedication to our staff, clients, and community.

In a recent conversation with Linda Silva, Darlene reflected on the journey that has made CAMG feel less like a workplace and more like family.

“I truly love what I do,” Darlene shared. “I enjoy working with my team—they are like family to me. I also value the relationships we have with our clients and the services we provide.”

Throughout her time at CAMG, Darlene has become known for her ability to connect with others in meaningful ways. Whether welcoming a new employee, supporting a client through difficult times, or simply offering a kind word, Darlene’s presence leaves a lasting impact.

She credits much of her growth to the experiences she’s had working alongside clients and learning more deeply about mental health and the challenges many individuals face.

“I’ve learned to meet people where they are—to truly listen, accept them, and see them as equals,” she said. “These experiences have been incredibly meaningful and have shaped how I view the world.”

Many staff members know Darlene as the person who always has the answer—or at least knows where to find it. Her years at the front reception desk allowed her to build relationships with countless staff, clients, and community members.

“I believe I’ve never met a stranger,” Darlene said with a smile. “Sometimes just asking, ‘How are you doing today?’ or offering a listening ear can make a big difference.”

That spirit of compassion is exactly what her coworkers admire most about her.

One coworker described Darlene as “the face of CAMG for many years,” noting that her role extends far beyond any job title. From helping clients prepare for interviews with clothing donations, to supporting staff during stressful moments, to advocating fiercely for those in need, Darlene consistently embodies the mission and heart of CAMG.

“Darlene truly embodies what CAMG is all about: building a community grounded in support, compassion, and heart.”

As she reflected on her 19 years, Darlene’s gratitude and passion remained clear.

“Being able to help someone—to make a difference in their life—means everything to me,” she shared. “I love my team, I love my work, and I truly feel like we are a family here. CAMG is an amazing organization.”

Darlene, thank you for 19 incredible years of service, dedication, and kindness. Your impact on CAMG and the lives of so many people is immeasurable. We are grateful to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to many more years ahead.
